My Barco CRT projectors

Because Barco CRT projectors are my passion , I constantly buy, fix, and sell, often using this site to advertise. My passion for Barco CRT projectors was a love on first sight experience. These charming three eyed projectors really do their job. I've seen LCD and DLP, even had a Barco data600 compete with a Sharp DLP...i wouldn't write a site about Barco's if the data600 didn't win this contest! So, it did!

Once you've seen the difference, there is no way back! Ofcourse manufacturers try to gain on CRT technology but still, when reading the ads it always says "we come closer to CRT quality". Yep, keep coming closer and closer and...

Why Barco projectors and not others?

I don't want to be patriotic but Barco projectors are a belgian product, a belgian quality product. But that could not be the real reason. Here is why.

I did discover Barco's to be much more silent then other CRT projectors. I actually can say, a secondhand Barco that passed through technicians hands is the quietest of all. Talking about design, again Barco takes the first place (in my opinion). Where other CRT projectors are rather heigh (especially whit build-in automatic convergence modules) a Barco projectors keeps below 37cm. Which is much more easier to put away in a coffeetable…! No end of merchandise, parts,… Alright, they sold their hometheater section to the French TEC organization, cineversum, but production is still active.
